What services does the Hussaini Islamic Mission provide?

What are your operating hours?
We do not operate round the clock. Each section has its own specific timings:
- Mosque: Mosque opens on Friday for the Congregational Prayer and for Maghrib Prayer occasionally. Please consult with Mosque admin.
- Madressa: Operates on Sundays during school term only with the following timings:
- Juniors Madressa (Age 5-8): 9:15am- 11:20am
- Seniors Madressah (Age 9-15): 11:20am -2:00pm
- Imam Bargah: Timings vary based on events and programs. Please refer to our events calendar on the home page.
Is the center open to non-Shia Muslims and non-Muslims?
Yes, we welcome visitors of all backgrounds who wish to learn about our faith and community. We encourage respectful dialogue and cultural exchange.
Are congregational prayers (bajamat) held daily?
Congregational prayers are conducted on Fridays and during special events/ occasions.
Do you hold Juma (Friday) prayers?
Yes, Juma prayers are held every Friday. Khutba (sermon) begins just after Zuhr time (Noon Prayer), followed by congregational prayer.
What language are the programs conducted in?
Our programs are primarily conducted in Urdu. English programs are occasionally offered as announced through our official channels.
During the first 10 days of Muharram, we provide programs in both Urdu and English to accommodate our diverse community.
Is there a dress code for the centre?
We request modest Islamic dress. Men should wear long pants and shirts with sleeves. Women should wear hijab and modest clothing covering arms and legs.
Do you perform nikah (wedding) ceremonies?
Yes, our imam can officiate Islamic wedding ceremonies. Please schedule an appointment at least one month in advance for marriage counseling and ceremony planning.
What funeral services do you provide?
We offer complete funeral services including:
- Condolence majlis organization
- Ongoing support for grieving families
- Ghusl (ritual washing) and kafan (shrouding)
- Janaza prayers
- Burial arrangements coordination
Are there programs for youth?
Yes, we have active youth programs including:
- Leadership development programs
- Community service projects
- Youth majlis and educational sessions
- Sports and recreational activities
What happens during Ramadan?
- Daily iftar (breaking fast) community meals
- Observance of Ayam e Shahadat of Imam Ali (A.S)
- Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Power) observance on the eves of 19th, 21st and 23rd Ramzan
- Increased charity programs, Quran recitations, Q & A / daily lecture by Resident Aalim
- Look out for our Ramadan program announcement. A dedicated schedule will be published through our official channels at the start of the month of Ramadan.
Is parking available?
Yes, we have on-site parking. We kindly request you to not block our neighbours’ driveways. Please cooperate with parking marshals during busy periods.

Who runs the Hussaini Islamic Mission?
The center is managed by an elected committee comprised of community members who volunteer their time and expertise. The committee oversees the daily operations, programs, and strategic decisions. We also rely heavily on dedicated volunteers who help with various activities and services throughout the center.
